Well, if the stuff in the tiny screenshots and the character sketches on the official sites is anything to go by, it should be pretty faithful to the manga, and with decent animation and all that, that means it ought to be good. ^_^

and it looks like they're gonna include the bathhouse scene!

I was sold on Haruhi JUST from production values. My friend sent me the first episode and I just GAPED, because wow, making that whole episode look like an amatuer movie made by the characters? Complete with bad acting and random background noise and stuff and everything? *shakes head* It's just impressive.

The amatuer video part in the first scene made me laugh beacuse of Kyon's Narration. Like when the other guy [who I haven't met yet] leans over 'sempai' and Kyon's like 'But he wouldn't do something like that to an unconscious girl because a narrator is about to do something compeltely out of character and kick his ass!' or something similiar to that... I loved that part...

Haha, yes. My comment to my friend after watching ep 1 was "...I'm gonna like Kyon, aren't I?" He's totally what makes the series.

Kyon is hilarious. I think he's more of the main character than Haruhi is. XD

Even though her name is int he title, I don't think I ever really considered her the main character since Kyon is the one talking a lot of the time... and giving his views... and comenting on just how stupid what they're doing is... Randomly playing baseball? Whut?

Oh yeah, that series would really, in my opinion, have a fairly mediocre story if it weren't for Kyon's take on everything. XD

I really really hope they keep that scene in all its glory. It's just... special.

I think, even with Kyon's narration it's a mediocre story... He just twists things a little and mkes it hilarious... The brilliance of spicing up a narration...
