Well yeah, and I kinda got the same impression you mentioned- when I saw the flashback scenes with Souken talking to Uryuu about his father, and Ryuuken making comments like being a Quincy doesn't earn money, I figured him for the sort of person who's become extremely pragmatic and careful about the few things he does care about, and while I might think there's a better way to handle things, can't entirely fault him for it in and of itself. If that makes any sense at all. >_>;;

.....and I'm just not even gonna comment on the Aizen/Ryuuken thing there.
