abandonrealityI noticed I had a new flister! Just want to say welcome to my humble journal! As you can tell by my interests I am an unashamed Otaku! ^_^!
If you like Bleach, Samurai Champloo, FullMetal Alchemist, Gokusen and the occasional Kenshin, you probably won't mind this journal much! I also like satire, am sarcastic, and reading Lovecraft before bed.......
However if FANGIRL SQUEEING, RANTING AND THE OCCASIONAL CAPLOCK SPAZ, FREAKS YOU OUT THIS MIGHT NOT BE THE PLACE FOR YOU.....

In the fan translation, they fudged it a little, and went with "Jenga", which would make more sense and be funnier to an American audience. Viz went with the Daruma-Otoshi thing and added a footnote. It's more accurate, but it sacrifices the comedy factor.
(When it comes to translation & adapatation I lean towards the "sentiment over accuracy" camp, so...)

I'm into champloo, FMA is Okay, seen it couple times, and never seen Bleach or the oher ones. Do you guys have an anime channel or something or am I just THAT in the dark?? LOL

I read the mangas of all of those above I mentioned, I am more into that then the animes...I don't like the anime of FMA -at all-, only the manga.
My big fandom at the moment is Bleach. Manga mostly, as the anime is in fillers in Japan...it will be on Adult Swim starting September 9, btw, if you want to watch it in English instead of fansubs. ^^
Ouran is just out in Japan and I watch it on YouTube as people put the fansubs up...
